CREATING AN ALL-HEAVYWEIGHT REALITY SERIES

Every sports television producer's dream is to be able to put on a series of weekly, all-heavyweight shows. Heavyweights in boxing and MMA create more excitement and much higher television ratings that other weight classes. What's important to producers is the millions of viewers and TV ratings. The all-heavyweight TUF reality show shattered records with 5.3 million viewers for its debut in 2009.

The Ultimate Heavyweight SEARCH
Think of an exciting, unprecedented all-heavyweight reality series, The Ultimate Heavyweight SEARCH, which would be produced in areas which have a disproportionately high percentage of very large, explosive athletes and would be open to the participation of the 929 heavyweights who are currently fighting as boxers and MMA fighters. 530 are MMA heavyweights and 399 are heavyweight boxers. We will develop interactive websites for creating matches between scores of great heavyweight athletes with marquee value from other sports, including U. S. football and basketball and athletes from wrestling and rugby from foreign countries.

Creating Databases of Heavyweight Made Fights
As each new athlete registers for the Ultimate Heavyweight SEARCH, the number of potential made fights increases dramatically. Each new heavyweight that registers has the opportunity to challenge all the other athletes registered in his heavyweight database.

Theoretically, if we only had 10 heavyweight boxers in the database, a new heavyweight that registers could increase the database of made fights by 10. This assumes he challenges all of the other heavyweights in the database and they all accept his challenge. As new heavyweights sign up, the new registrants would increase exponentially the number of made fights .

For example, if we assume that 400 heavyweights were registered in our database, a new heavyweight registering could theoretically challenge all 400 heavyweights and theoretically have all of his challenges accepted, thereby increasing the number of made fights in the made fight database by 400.

Realistically, no heavyweight will challenge all the other registered heavyweights. But the networking principle is important. The connectivity between members of a network group on the Internet applies to our matchmaking with dramatic effect.

For example, let's conservatively assume that only 25% of the 400 heavyweight boxers register. That's only 100 heavyweights. Assume that each one of the 100 heavyweights challenges only 10% or 10 of the other 99 heavyweights. That's 1000 challenges. Assume conservatively that only 50% of his 10 challenges are accepted. That's 500 heavyweight boxing matches. That's enough for 100 all-heavyweight boxing shows with 5 fights on each card.

If only 100 of the 530 MMA heavyweights register and they each challenge only 10 fighters, and only half of their challenges are accepted, they would create a total of 500 MMA heavyweight fights.

That's a MADE fight pot of gold for any matchmaker or sports television producer.

Unprecedented Number of Made Fights in All Weight Divisions
Assume the same conservative percentage estimates of challenges and accepted challenges. Multiply the 500 made fights in the heavyweight division by seven weight classes. You get a total number of 3,500 made fights.

Fighters and promoters have never been offered a system like Fighters Online. Our estimates are conservative. All fighters will eagerly embrace an online system where they can sort through a database of prospective opponents to find fighters to challenge.

They will all anxiously wait for e-mail notification of challenges and acceptances. Fighters will have unprecedented options for creating fights which will accelerate their careers.

Promoters will have an unprecedented number of options for creating exciting fight cards. They can sort the database of made fights by fighter, view videos of past fights searching for exciting fighters, group made fights by weight class, location, purse, and record. Promoters will be able to create an unprecedented number of shows in major markets in the U. S. and the world, leading to exceptional world heavyweight tournament series.
